Important Disclaimer
ReptileYard operates solely as a classifieds marketplace to connect reptile breeders (Sellers) with prospective buyers (Buyers). We do not process, handle, or facilitate any financial transactions or payments. We also do not handle, coordinate, or guarantee the shipping of any animals. All transactions, payments, and shipping arrangements are strictly between the Buyer and the Seller.
2. User Accounts & Responsibilities
Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including animal genetics, health status, and photos. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and list animals on this platform.
- You agree not to post false, misleading, or deceptive listings.
- You agree to comply with all local, state, federal, and international laws regarding the sale, transport, and ownership of reptiles and amphibians.
- You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
3. Buyer & Seller Disputes
Because ReptileYard does not process payments or facilitate the exchange of goods, we cannot issue refunds, mediate financial disputes, or enforce shipping claims. Buyers are strongly encouraged to thoroughly vet Sellers, ask for references, and use secure payment methods that offer buyer protection (e.g., PayPal Goods & Services) when transacting off-platform.
4. Prohibited Content
Users may not list venomous reptiles, endangered species prohibited by law, or any animals obtained illegally. We reserve the right to remove any listing or suspend any account at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if we believe the user has violated these terms or engaged in unethical practices.
5. Liability
ReptileYard is provided "as is" and without warranty of any kind. We shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our platform, the inability to use our platform, or any interactions between Buyers and Sellers.
6. Donations
ReptileYard is a free platform. Any donations made to support the site's hosting and maintenance are voluntary, non-refundable, and do not constitute a purchase of services, goods, or preferential treatment.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will always post the most current version on our website. By continuing to use the platform after changes are posted, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
